If you need help right now

Serene Integrative Services is an outpatient clinic and is not a 24-hour crisis service. If you are in immediate danger, use the resources on this page.

If you or someone else is at immediate risk of harm, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.

Immediate help, available 24/7

  • 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline — call or text 988 for free, confidential support any time
  • Crisis Text Line — text HOME to 741741
  • Veterans Crisis Line — call 988 then press 1, or text 838255
  • Trevor Project (LGBTQ+ youth) — call 1-866-488-7386 or text START to 678-678
  • 911 or your nearest emergency department for immediate physical danger

When to seek emergency care

  • Active thoughts of suicide with a plan or intent
  • Thoughts of harming someone else
  • Inability to keep yourself safe right now
  • Psychosis: hearing or seeing things others don't, or losing touch with reality
  • Severe intoxication, overdose, or dangerous withdrawal

Supporting someone in crisis

  • Ask directly whether they are thinking about suicide — asking does not plant the idea
  • Stay with them, or stay on the phone, until help is in place
  • Reduce access to firearms, medications, and other means
  • Listen without arguing, minimizing, or problem-solving prematurely
  • Help them contact 988 or transport them to an emergency department

After a crisis

Once you are safe, follow-up care matters enormously — the weeks after a crisis carry elevated risk. Call us at (208) 719-7158 and we will prioritize scheduling. We coordinate with hospitals and crisis teams for post-discharge follow-up whenever possible.
