Executive Function Difficulties
Capable, and still unable to get it done
Overview
Executive functions are the mental processes that let you set a goal and actually get there: initiation, working memory, planning, organization, time management, flexibility, and self-monitoring.
When they lag, the gap between capability and output becomes the defining frustration — and it is usually misread by others, and by yourself, as a motivation problem.

How TMS fits in
TMS does not treat executive function difficulties directly. When depression is suppressing initiation and concentration and hasn't responded to medication, treating the depression can restore meaningful capacity.
